The ASCO Cancer Foundation to Host Public Forum for Washington, DC Community

WHAT: Cancer Advances:
A Public Forum on Breast Cancer


In conjunction with the 2008 Breast Cancer Symposium taking place September 5-7 at the Hilton Washington, the Cancer Foundation of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) is pleased to present a free public forum on breast cancer. Leading experts in the treatment and prevention of breast cancer will be gathered for the Symposium in Washington, DC. The Forum will offer the public an opportunity to interact with these experts directly. Diana Rowden, Vice President of Health Services, Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, will serve as moderator for the event.

The panelists will answer questions and discuss key issues and advances affecting cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, family and friends. Expert panelists include:

  • Clifford Hudis, MD: Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center
  • Susan G. Orel, MD: University of Pennsylvania
